Two former Video Course Trainees begin their Internships We have the pleasure of welcoming back two former underwater video course trainee's James (pictured left) and Henry (not pictured). Both completed the video course a couple of years ago and have now come back to learn how the business of underwater videography help get them into the industry. Also we have more new courses (Kristian left), Sina & Richard recently started and are all undertaking the Professional Underwater Videography course that consists of 26 dives and lasts around 3 - 4 weeks.
New internship trainee start After completing her underwater video course some 3 years ago Laetitia (Belgium) has returned to Koh Tao to undertake her Videography internships program. She will be here for 4 weeks in which time she will shadow, then film a variety of differnent projects that DDP are working on at the moment. Including- filming for Crystal Dive resort, promotional material for three major tourist companies and 2 music videos.
Internship Trainees head to Perinthians DDP certified videographer Laure (France) heads down to Malaysia today to start her two week internships program at our office on the Perinthian Islands. She will be joined by new film student Debbie (Canada) who will start her videography training there before heading to our Headquaters on Koh Tao, Thailand to complete her training.
Internship trainees air showrels at new Koh Tao event Each month a new event will take place on the small island of koh tao. DDP now host a film festival and free BBQ for all staff & trainees from both Deep Down Productions & Crystal Dive Resort, although EVERYONE is welcome. This month showed three of our trainees completing there courses which were the 26 dive pro video course, 10 dive recreational video course and the new 7 week pro broadcast documentary course.
New camera tested and ready for documentary internship Head video trainer Jon was out trying the new Z1 that will be used on the newly launched documentary internship course. Video Intructors Simon Dowling & Jon Fortis will be teaching the seven week course that will give you all the knowledge to make it as a big screen film maker. Underwater Video Trainee completes course in style Jim my completed his four week training program last night by airing his showreel to a packed audience at the crystal dive resort bar. During the course he elected to undertake a marine life film course and shot some great footage. We will upload the showreel to our youtube channel soon.
Underwater Video Internships Trainee completes Course Our Latest underwater video trainee has just finished his Internship and is now fully prepared for when he moves to Greece next month to start his own videography company. Steve completed the 2 week internship in style when he produced a truly professional dive movie that was air on a giant screen at Crystal Dive Resort.
DDP expansion If you are interested in completing your video internships in the Perinthians we now have a training centre located in this region. You will start at the DDP headquarters in Koh Tao then travelling down to Malaysia and finish your internship there New Video Systems for Documentary course We are pleased to announce we have now acquired an amphibico dive buddy housing with a Sony SR7 HD video system. This will be used in the final stages your training to assure you have the best camera setup for your final show reel.
